FG for everything unless I bust off then it's slim beauty. Can't tie an FG on the water impatient to get a lure or live bait back out

Best video demo is the big angry fish boys on YouTube

same here I have moved from the S/beauty to the FG for my braid to leader - after you tie a few they become quite easy and quick to tie even on the water and in a kayak

so should be easy in a boat to tie

both knot strength and the ease the FG goes through the guides keeps me using them

The FG knot is for braid to mono from what I understand, but the double uni would be better for mono to mono, is this correct ?

I have used a double uni for braid to mono for a long time without any problems.

If you use a heavy leader the knot may be a little large on the leader side.

It's the first knot I learned and I've stuck with it. Never lost a fish due to the Uni to Uni knot failing.

I'll give the double uni a go, trail and error for me, if I have trouble with it through the guides I'll just try another knot..
