Got these hooks as a little gift. What species will be best suited for these size. I either use 4/0s for snapper, size 6 whiting/ even flathead. And 2/0 long shanks on salmon.

Hooks are size 1 and 2 gamakatsu octopus circle hooks

Size 6 works for whiting too.
In general, use small hook when targetting small fish, big hook for big fish.
