mosquito hooks for trout

hey all,
I go trout fishing and I usually gut hook the trout, so they usually die when I try to release them. would some owner mosquito hooks solve that problem?

Try using circle hooks, that should fix the problem

I dont think so.
The point isn't curved in like circle hook.

Let me clarify, buy some black Magic size 6 circle hooks

If trout is gut hooked, and you try to remove the hook, your chances of the trout surviving are very slim. If you intend to release it, cut the line as close to the hook as possible. Use steel hooks as they disolve in time - Do not use stainless steel hooks. Hook size and design does not matter much if you do this.

Not the end of the world if gut hooked you can put them on the smoker at home.

The only problem is I can't figure out how to make trout not taste trash :rf:

thanks, mate, I know that if I gut hook one it wont really matter, but I am trying to limit the amount I gut hook.
