Who's got the best Tassie Devil storage?

Post by Andrew.cox » Sat May 02, 2020 2:27 pm

G'day guys and girls,

I've started to clean up the tackle boxes, respooled reels, made 2 dozen paternoster rigs for both cod and yellas each, etc over the past few weeks in iso.

The last piece of the puzzle is...

HOW DO I STORE WHAT SEEMS TO BE LIKE 400 TASSIE DEVIL LURES.....???

Pictures, anything, I just need some ideas.

Coxy!

At present I store the treble hook piece in an old cork.

Hard plastic pieces are stored in their sizes in separate containers.

Fluro plastic balls in a HD zip lock bag.

It works ok..... But there's gotta be a better way!

The Plano 4700 2 tiered tackle box work well for lures and other bits and bobs.

It's more so to stop the inner wire with treble hooks separating....
I can always safety pin the eyelet and store them individually I guess. There's just a lot of them!

paper clips or use staples and bend them closed.

I just keep them all in a separate part of me tackle box mixed together and just take them out and use them as needed.

I don't fish them with the wire so it's just trebles, beads and tassies in different sections of a tray

On the subject of Tassie Devil lures, do you guys solely use them for fresh water fishing?

I have quite a few that i have somehow picked up along the way, but they are stored away in my freshwater tacklebox which i only ever access on the 2 or 3 times a year that i go camping.

But it does occur to me that a nice Pinkie could mistake a Tassie Devil for a small squid. And they do say that they can be used in fresh and salt water. Anybody got an opinion on this?
The only thing better than serenity is a two stroke at full throttle!

I’ve heard you can troll with them for Australian salmon, not sure about pinkies though as they don’t usually swim high enough in the water column. They actually have a nice action when you jig them so you could possibly catch flathead. I’ve thought about it a bit but never tried it.
