I know you will be well versed with fishing tackle Paul so I thought you would be able to go in and find what you needed yourself! What made it take so long?
thanks

The store I went to was Breaside, it all starts at the carpark of JV Marine, after you drive 50 meters past the door because they ahve boats in the car spaces you then have to enter via the boat shop, walk through the turnstyles hang a left up the stairs to a store that had a terrible layout where hooks could be found in various parts of the store, when I did find the ones I was after they only had small budget packs not bulk packs of 50, the staff where no where to be seen and when I did find one they checked on the computer and said we have them out the back, after spending what felt like an etirnity out the back he came out and appologised because he forgot about me. He went out the back for 10 seconds longer and came out with what I wanted handed it to me and walked back out the back, I then walked back down the stairs to the registers only to find that no staff where there. After hasseling the boat people at JV they contacted the staff up stairs and informed m that some one would be with me shortly. After more delay the same guy cam down stairs to ring my hooks up on the register, the bar code scanned the wrong price by about $50 so he had to go back up stairs to get a code, when he came back down with the code I handed him my eftpos card only to have him explain teh machine was not working at that register and I had to go through the same process at another register.

The whole BCF experience was terrible from the time I parked my car till the time I left the front gate. It was a much better store before BCF came to town and killed it. Like I said worst service from any retailer in Australia and any other store I have been into around the world and yes rod bender, I am quite versed with tackle in this case it was not the tackle that was the problem it was the crappest service I have experienced that was the problem.

I mention "Izzy" as a exception to the norm @ BCF stores , i 90% of the time support local specialist tackle stores .

I found the staff at BCF Breaside to be extremely arrogant and very unhelpful....it's like they don't actually want to be there!

and always on the phone...what's with that?

Yep go online and buy your stuff if you want it cheaper but beware.....

There are a few shonky sellers that are selling really cheap items which I am led to believe are fake, cheap chinese copies.

An example of this is Power Pro Braid sold from an "Aussie" (will use that loosely), seller and the price is cheaper than a US import, when does that ever happen.

But Western Suburbs and service , Hooked on Bait and Tackle store, Hoppers Crossing

I'll plug the guys at BCF Epping, very helpful and most know what their talking about, i asked about an EGI rod (only reason i bought from BCF is cause i had a voucher from my 30th) the young fella (about 16 - 17) i spoke to said he didn't know what i was talking about and didn't know if they had any so he ran, and i do mean ran, to one of the other staff at the other end of the store spoke with him for a few seconds then ran back to and said follow me. within a few minutes i had EGI rod in my hands. after i finished amassing $700 worth of goods i want through to the register, same young bloke, put it all through and gave me discount (staff discount i think) which meant i could go and buy more goodies.
