Wanted: Fishing mates

Post by Tarsh » Fri Sep 14, 2012 11:12 am

Anyone interested to join me for land based snapper fishing or general land based fishing?

My mate who used to be really into fishing has gone cold and is not into it anymore unfortunately.

I'm thinking of going to mordiallic beach tonight to try for snapper. Cheers.

There are no problems, using this gear on a pier. If you go to Mordi pier, they guys right at the end will be using surf gear.
Drop down to Mornington pier, there are plenty of people using 12 foot rods.

Depending on the size, just grab the leader and lift it up, hopefully the knots hold, otherwise a net or gaff. The other option is to walk the fish down to a landing or to the beach.
