To early to tell for new fish. Last week and a bit of August will paint a better picture.

Wednesday arvo/Thursday are looking ppicture perfect if you're game enough to sit in the cold waiting
might be pretty quiet on WPB...most people that fish it arnt classified as 'local'

How was ur 2019 Snappe season Matt ?
Had a shocker last year, only got a couple.
Will be interesting season this year, I reckon you'll see a lot more people fishing solo, no charters and they'll probably end up closing all the piers. Might even have to try soft plastics if supply of bait becomes an issue (should probably start stocking up now as mentioned above).
2 months is a very long time these days, so anything could happen before now and then.
You normally fish ppb or Westernport Matt.?

Be interesting to see what happens to recruitment if we cop a stage 4 through snapper season.

Why would bait supply dry up? Pros will still be out.

Seem to be fishing Westernport more these days, so many more options (in saying that, I do like fishing the top of Port Phillip at the start of the snapper season)

Who knows what the future holds....I reckon a lot of tackle shops might not be around the way things are going. God only know what Stage 4 will be, but I'm presuming bait harvesting & storage wont be a priority.

over the weekend i swear i seen some wattle trees in bloom, and even some cherry blossoms already in budding stage..
i wonder if the seasons are running a bit early.
You’re looking at the wrong tree, you want the tea tree to be in flower for snapper :vy:
