Bait junkie round 2 and 3.

Went out a few more times last week to chase the mighty reds once again.
We decided to chase some squid first with dad landing a few good hoods and I followed suit for about 6 squid between us.
Weather wasn't great once again and we got pummelled by the wind and waves. It then quickly changed and calmed down. This probably was a trigger for the bite as they went nuts for a few hours. Dad missed 2 screamers as he literally wasn't prepared for it. One on his bait rod which he fishes all the time and has a size 4 or so hook . The hook literally didn't even have enough gape to stick properly. Next was a screamer on the plastic rod that I threw out for dad. He missed both fish.
He did however land a few fish upto 35cm on bait so he was keeping himself busy.
In the meantime I landed a few beauties while also getting my bag.
Also landed a fairly decent snook of about 60odd cm which was a welcome bonus. My parents love snook.
Trip 3 was a slow one.
I went solo as my mates and dad weren't available and I didn't want to loose a nice day on the water.
A few legal pinkies, some trevally and a nice 38cm.pannie..
It was a magical day on the water though, so I was just happy to be on the water and enjoy the day.
The bait junkie plastics have been working quite well for me and I would highly recommend them if its something your thinking of trying sometime soon.
I've paired them with the jigheads I've been painting at home during the iso lockdown and it's great to see them catching fish as a matching pair.
