Up at 4.30 am, Out on the water by 6am.

Launched from North Rd boat ramp. Fish in 16 meters of water till 8am for no result.

Decided to move deeper 20 meters, burleyed, 10 mins later zzZzzZZzzzzz off goes the reel.

We landed a nice 3kg Snapper, then my rod goes off on a big run only to bust off,,, hook was bent as right angles!

Then my soft plastic goes off on a big run.....ping, busted off again. Bangg .

It then went quiet at 10 am and we were pulling up flatties one after the other.

Mates rod buckles and he is on....by the way is was fighting, a small snapper?... NO a monster 1.5-2 kg Flathead! One of the biggest I've seen in Port Phillip Bay.

Pulled the pin at 12.

Back at the ramp it was nice to see fisheries checking licences and catches.

A quick reminder to all, make sure you renew your fishing licences, always measure your fish, and know your bag limits.
