It looks and smells like Tuna OIl but is it or is it Fush and Chup old oil with a bit of smell to it?
The Tuna Oil you purchase in plastic bottles is it Tuna Oil or something else
Does anybody know?

I know as much as the 44 tells me. Who knows what's actually in it given its manufactured in Asia

I don't know whats in it but it sure as hell works

It might be a byproduct of all those fish oil pills you see in the pharmacy.

Latest batches now come with added Pangolin

I often wonder that myself due to the huge difference in colour

I think most branded 'Fish Oils' with tuna oil contain a blend of alternative ingredients of oily fish that are cheaper.

Most are branded as fish oil as opposed to tuna oil, suggesting a blend. I think there will always be a colour difference between batches, the percentage mix of species and the season.

Whatever the mixed ingredients are tuna, pilchard, mackerel, herring they all work well and perhaps a blend is better than a single type, who knows.

I think with "standards" and "legislation" for products, they need to contain a certain amount of what ever it is called. Tuna Oil would contain "some" Tuna Oil to have that in the name. That being said a meat Pie only needs to contain 25% meat to be called a Meat Pie. So maybe the % is quite low (like 25%)

Hence anything lower than the low percentage require to be called Tuna Oil is called Fish Oil , , , , and , , , , I'm sure they include in the wording on the label "CONTAINS TUNA OIL" nice and prominently even if it's not a prominent ingredient. Having 5% tuna Oil would still give them the right to say it contains Tuna Oil.

A disturbing thing though, the other "filler" ingredients don't necessarily have to be fish based, they could quite possibly be Ol' Fush and Chup Oil

A mate swears , , , , (that too) , , , , but he swears by Pure Mackerel Oil. He dips baits in it and scents for Soft Plastics (yep, I have a Lure Mate)

Has anyone else heard about Mackerel Oil in-lieu of Tuna Oil ????
