Heading out as soon as the wind calms a little (Monday arvo) and fishing until Wednesday. Would be keen to hear if any more tuna is being caught.

Who would have thought the waters have changed enough to bring the Giant Bluefin into our own backyard ... Robb Gray doing a Solo trip is the latest in fisho's showing up with that catch of a lifetime .. 121.2 KG !!!!

This is Robb's Story.......

*WARNING LONG FISHING STATUS*
What day in our local waters off western port,
The plan originally was to hit Portland and fish it for a solid 3 days with a mate Matty Adam well that all changed after he had 4 wisdoms pulled yesterday and had to pull out last minute, I made a few calls messaged a few boys but could wrangle a crew. I ummed and ahhhed about making the trip solo as I've done plenty of times. Decided not to go considering we had fish on our doorstep.
So solo I hit the water early and hit the 40m line. by roughly 7am, bang!!! 1 then 2 then 3 rods scream off. I literally thought wtf!!! am I gonna do!!! As soon as 1 fish started to cross toward the other Lines I made the call to cut the line. I managed to position the boat and begin the fight, i backed the drag off on the back fish and kept it a fair way away, and kept one fish close enough fight. Fought both fish for an hr before pulling the hooks on the second fish, 45 minutes later I had the 3rd fish tied off to the boat, struggling to get over the side of the boat I towed it over to a boat who helped drag it onboard. Couple high fives and a turkey 101 it was happy days. My First barrel for many a trip. 1 more to tick off my bucket list. All in the last 18 months. Super stoked!!!
✅20lb+ snapper
✅20kg + gumbo
✅100kg+ barrel
Quick thanks to Greg Goepel,Joel Bassett, Dayne Bassett for helping out getting it in the boat and weighing. Cheers boys
And Dani Hammond for letting me chase my dream!!
YOU BEAUTY!!!!!!
