bermie 28, 2, 17. 3.3.2

Woke this morning to a ripper day sunny light winds launched at 7am and headed to the top of the twelve mile. We sounded around found some bait and jigged up a dozen slimies. We put out a couple of livies and started trolling after about half an hour we came a cross a patch of bait at 20 fathoms with marks on them we stopped trolling and fed the baits down, within 10 minutes the tiagra starts to howl and we are on, daves on the rod and a solid black goes Arial about 140kg dave fights the fish for about 10 minutes then its gone spat the hook.
No time to worry put more livies out within 20 minutes we are on again and dave is on to a stripey 35 mins and its at the boat

We catch some more bait and rig up some livies and just drift there is that much bait around at 3pm bang we are on and its gavs turn on the rod it jumps wildly for 10 minutes its a big black around 180kg sooner gav than me the marlin went beserk then went down after 1 hour wehad hold of the leader but it powered away. At the 2 hour 35 minute mark we finally had a shot at him dave grabbed the leader and pulled the marlin up it reared up against the boat and the hook pulled but luckily the tag had gone in him.
All in all a cracking day 3 raised 3 hooked and 2 tagged can't wait for tomorrow

Good time to be fishing, good days and great fish, cheers davo :a_goodjob:
It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them

Do you only use live and skip baits now sue to success rate or still pull lures sometimes?
