On the other hand, Lachy mate just go out and give it a shot literally anywhere. Theres no such thing as a spot where you will be guaranteed a fish, only good and bad sessions. I doubt youve been trying for long, with your other threads on about yakkas and other stuff. It took me 7 months of persistance to actually catch somethinf on a plastic, and i doubt it wont get too much shorter than that.

have you actually got the right gear to fish plastics? or are you trying to dig a tunnel with a tablespoon??

Bring in the TBM.... will 15 foot rods work?

1 use a 1-3kg rod and light line

Nope just seeing if he has the right tools for the job.
The background to these kind of posts usually go something like, yeah im using a kmart combo with mono line. and then you wonder why they dont catch anything for a while.
you can still dig a tunnel with a spoon, but its just a lot easier using an excavator.
use the right tools for the job and you will have a lot more success

what size jigheads, plastics and line are you using?

mornington pier generally has some flathead, pinkies or red mullet hanging around there. the tide doesnt run too hard there. go to the end of the pier and cast straight out, im sure you should be able to catch something, the first fish is always the hardest, it gets easier from there :thumbsup:
