Went out today in the Quinnie Tinny from Werribee , specifically to get a feed of Flathead . Well they werent easy to locate the decent size ones anyway , in the end i caught several decent Flattie's & released many more & kept 5 for the fry pan . I also released 3 little Gummies approx 60cm each , good fun on light gear . ;)

The Flatties off Werribee have been pretty exceptional this year I reckon.
Have been getting good bags of around 6-8 decent flatties (40+cms) just about every time I've been out.
Popped out last Sunday & my GF got her PB Flattie of 51cms on one of my 2-4kg rods with 2500/6lb line.
She had a ball as that fish ran in the shallow water like a scolded snapper.
I think she's changed her mind about the fishing qualities of the humble flattie now.

Bill.
