Pretty good session, even better to see a catfish in with the catch too.. maybe they're on the way back...

cheers

The river is becoming a little jewel since the Bass and EP stocking 4 odd years ago, they are growing qick, that's the 2nd catfish I caught in a couple of weeks, have caught tench recently which is a good sign for the health of the river

Awesome catch. Was this above or below the weir?

Well done Seniorfisho watching the reports from afar it’s safe to say the stocking program has been great for the guys local to the area.

Well done senior!

So how hard is it to actually catch a mulloway in the Wezza river? Any particular time of year best to target these species?

My Mulloway fishing days are long gone but it is very underrated when it comes to Mulloway, I used to get the odd one when I had a kayak, there are quite a few around the moored boats, especially at night, low tide and a full moon seems to bring them on the chew, but like any river it is hard to catch the buggers. April and may is when I would be targeting them

Great effort mate, some nice fish in there
Looks like a tandanus catfish, possibly someone released few from their aquarium?

Well it took me until October to get round to fishing the river but have been doing so regularly since then. Took a couple of sessions to get the hang of it but seem to be doing ok now. Had plenty of EP's to 32cm a few Reddies to 32cm and so far 4 Bass all between 31 and 33.5cm. Mostly on munroes 2.75 paddle tail, some on double clutch and now enjoying the fun of surface lures.
Thanks for your post @Seniorfisho. Wouldn't be having so much fun there if you hadn't done so.
