Awesome catch. Was this above or below the weir?
All above the weir, give Riversdale dve area a go
Well it took me until October to get round to fishing the river but have been doing so regularly since then. Took a couple of sessions to get the hang of it but seem to be doing ok now. Had plenty of EP's to 32cm a few Reddies to 32cm and so far 4 Bass all between 31 and 33.5cm. Mostly on munroes 2.75 paddle tail, some on double clutch and now enjoying the fun of surface lures.
Thanks for your post @Seniorfisho. Wouldn't be having so much fun there if you hadn't done so.
No worries mate, glad you've been getting a few. The Munroes plastics are fantastic at $7 a pack and a great action. Pity the river is still discolored after the rain, it's gone really quiet but it is starting to clear. P.S, the best fishing is yet to come, feb through till the end of march is probably the best time to fish it

Missed this post - but EPic session SF, what a mixed bag!

It also seems like our predatory and feisty natives are putting a dint into the spawn/fingerlings of the invasive species in rivers across Vic. Much better option than releasing a virus to try and cull them
