Either I was doing something wrong or I just caught a bad night. Nice catch Anyways bud.
I need to check out all these piers and breakwalls. Only just started fishing earlier in the year.
NIGHT? How late in the evening? In the past 2 weeks, we start getting hammered as early as 4PM until before 7PM. Cant even manage 2 rods. After 7PM it was time to relax as the bites stop. By 8PM we were packing up.

Use bait mate to secure your bait to the hook and increase your chances of catching a good one. (**I raided my wife's sewing machine because bait mate is expensive***).There are many small ones around but if you use big baits and bait mate (i.e. half pilly), there is a chance that the bigger ones will find it before the micro pinkies can take your your bait.

Don't fish late. Hit the rock walls at 4PM and be home by 8PM.
Excellent tips right here

Thanks for the tips. I generally fish after dinner til about midnight depending how I feel. What size hooks are you using? I'll probably need a bigger rod and reel as I've just been using my bream/kgw outfit. I'll have to check out this baitmate.

I use 3/0 to 5/0 depending on the size of my bait. Last night I used 3/0 because my pillies were small. 2 hook double snelled setup covers the full length of the bait.

raid your wife's sewing box and get a spool. It's cheaper and better than baitmate. Baitmate is elastic and it will squeeze your bait inside out.

As a general rule - she will reduce your number of hookups
