I'd be interested and would donate something.
I think a donation for entry is a good way to do it... With donations being in by a due date.

I'd be interested for sure, just depending on how it runs, e.g. days or photos etc. Also happy to donate to the prizes for entry
Re: SAy ....I ... if ur interested in fv comp
What about if we combine it with a weekend away, let's say at 90mile beach? Camping by the beach and fishing for the compo for the weekend?
Re: SAy ....I ... if ur interested in fv comp
Based on this, i'd be in.. I know it's not really fair on the fresh water fisho's but a short term comp chasing salt water species (specifically red's, gummy's, etc..) is my cup of tea.. Would be hard pressed for time to help run it but happy to donate towards the pot..bowl wrote:Na that's a different comp.... that's why it should be two different comps. one for concrete jungle folk, an one bumpkins lol inb4 rage i lived in nhill at one time proof is obrian was new an barwise was the Sargent.
i think weekly target species comp but with a realistic example snapper one week, gummys another ect
an the reason i say that or we will have people just targeting what they use to it just mixes it up. i'm down to pay for something for a prize may be braid may be sinkers may be a secondhand penn sql40ld thats sitting there

If you open it up to different species i think it will get too complicated on what is bigger or what was more challenging to catch.
I think should be a specific species like land based or boat snapper comp?
Or trout comp?
If say $500 of prizes come in.
If 2/3 ppl enter snapper comp
Say allocate $ 320 worth to snapper comp
1st prize 180 worth prizes
2nd prize 80 worth prizes
3rd prize 40 worth prizes
Run a trout comp at same time 1/3 enter trout comp
1st prize 120
2nd prize 60
3rd prize 30.
What would people want to target?

I'd be interested in the trout comp, especially with the school holidays coming up, and possibly a fly fishing section.smile0784 wrote:If you open it up to different species i think it will get too complicated on what is bigger or what was more challenging to catch.

A land-based comp also sounds like a good idea, I think there was a post on something like that quite recently.

Think 2 or 3 species comp might be ok
Snapper ,flathead ,gar comp ect
Overall length wins of all 3 species (one of each species) n maybe also best pic section as well...
Possible carp comp ....
