Fri 30th November Brighton Pier

Post by wem21 » Mon Dec 03, 2018 12:11 pm

Hey guys,
Sorry for the late report but life's been busy so hadn't had time. I popped out with a mate to Brighton pier from 6pm to 8:25, all released except two pinkies and we set out paternoster rigs with prawns on one hook and pilly cubes on the other. We threw out a burley cage filled with chicken feed, and while we waited I cast out a metal vibe, and at around 6:50 I caught a small flattie on it, returned. It was then that the bait rods began going off in quick succession and we caught 5 pinkies. 2 went for 42cm exactly, and the others were 45, 46 and 44cm. They were very fat!
Very rewarding land based session,
Cheers!

Doing better than most people in boats....(I thought anything over 40cm was a snapper?)

That’s a great catch from lb mate. At that size they are nice and fat and chunky!
Nice work and enjoy the feed!
Cheers

I recall a debate here some time ago as to when a pinky is not a pinky and is a snapper.
He who has the most fishing rods WINS ! :ts:
