Re: declaring your manufacturer/distributor allegiances
Daiwa reels somehow heavier in general, hence I liked Shimano, light and compact design. Though Daiwa feels smoother and sturdier.
Now that Daiwa has the LT models, they're light! And I'm moving away from Shimano. Recently bought the freams lt and getting caldia lt.
One thing for sure, gotta love kmart sinkers! They're JW sinkers but kmart sells them super cheap, cheaper than most tackle shops at least. They used to have tassie devil and gulp plastics for like $5.

Re: declaring your manufacturer/distributor allegiances
I discovered 2 cracks where the gunwale meets the dash console on my savage bay cruiser on Saturday, rang the local dealer and savage have recalled it to rebuild it from top to bottom and have owned up to it being a manufacturing fault (which it is)
So massive kudos to them. A lot of other companies would investigate before trying to blame it on user damage
Makes me glad I picked savage. I'd hope quintrex and stacer would have done the same

I must admit I love my gamagatsu hooks for when chasing big reds in season.
Store————> southern sports fisher. Buy a lot of my stuff from there.
Black magic KL circle hooks for my kgw.
Often pick up bits and pieces from the heavily discounted bin.
