Better Yarra session this evening.
Headed out to Yarra Glen, river still high and fast, but I managed to find some slower sections along the bank/snags.
The river claimed its usual amount of tackle for this section, very snaggy.
I was using a combination of corn, compost worms ans scrub worms.
The corn did nothing so I stopped using it after a while.
I had been soaking a scrub worm for about 20mins when it got smashed. I managed to get the culprit in close enough to see a mottled green side and big paddle tail...... At which point my 6pound line let go.
I had heard rumours of cod being this far up river, and I can now say I have seen one.
Everything went quiet after that, so I moved spot.
Ended up with one reasonable eel before calling it quits.

Still no carp?
Seems like its true, less carp in yarra.
