Female betta?

Nope. Sorry
Right family wrong fish.
Siamese betta or something
Nope.
Close but no cigar.

I already gave a big clue about the family, and not many in that family either, Betta, gourami and paradise fish are already out. Not many more remaining.

The pic I posted is a pair of them as well.
Molly, guppy, dwarf gourami, betta... Cant think of anything else close to it.

This one is common in bass strait but unlikely you would catch it on a hook. It has some nasty little hooks on the side of its head and a poisonous skin.
Makes good flathead bait as they seem to be able to eat them. Very slimy snotty skin. Trawl fishers hate them as they get hooked in the mesh and make a hell of a mess.

There's nothing . . . absolutely nothing . . . half so much worth doing as simply messing around in boats.
