Yep spot on Cobby. You've got what seems like the NRL driving their own return in NSW.....meantime in Vic, we've more than flattened the curve, there are more people recovering than catching the virus, so what does Chairman Dan do? Extend the state of emergency by another month....just because. FMD, he does it because he's run out of crap to ban, and because he can. No oversight, no parliamentary process and sadly most Victorians are lapping it up under the assumption they'll get safety at the expense of freedom. IMO they will get and deserve neither.

I don’t see anyone lapping it up, most people are struggling through, some more than others. Like I said earlier I’m definitely not a fan of Dan or the way he governs but the buck stops with him. He was voted in by a large margin and we are getting the consequences of that. I’m not sure why all of the states aren’t in alignment over these current lockdown rules and I definitely get the frustration on here. It’s all uncharted territory here, who’s to say we can’t eradicate the virus in this country whilst the overseas border remains closed for however long. Either way I’m sick of staring at my rods gathering dust, same with my golf clubs and can’t watch the mighty Blues smash their way into the 8 this year. Tough year all round.

quite a few valid points there mate. unfortunately i can only support your train of thoughts and have no answers myself.

however you can insted of watching the rods gather dust, pick them up and give them a good wipe down with a microfibre cloth lightly sprayed with some Inox . spare the grips or you will find out the hard way.
if you havet done it before, then give it a go, its a good way to keep them looking schmik!
works great on the reels too BTW.

Hop about a solution such as.

Fishing is ok.
-You can only access waterways within your own council zone based off primary place of residence.
-Social distancing is required.
-You must fish solo or with members of your household.
-Increased fines for rule breakers fisheries/vic police to enforce

Rules would work for me.
You wanted the fishing ban to be lifted because of its inequitable nature but your first point regarding fishing "within your own council zone base off primary place of residence" have wiped out the majority of fishos - my neck of the wood has no rivers or oceans/beaches so how should i (and others in a similar geographic as me) feel about a minority okay to go and fish and the rest are not.

"I catch f**k all fish" -- It is call fishing and angling .. not catching.

"I’ve got a vicious slice off the tee" -- join the average gofer club Troy :)

"Carlton have been s***house for 20 years" -- Be patience, you still have at least another 17 years to to endure !!

"I need another hobby" -- YES!!!! knitting and crotchet is relative easy to for beginners :-D
