Fishing reports around the country (except Victoria)
Hello fellow suffering Victorian fishos
While patiently waiting for the state lockdown measures to be relaxed in Victoria and not seeing any reports on here for a while, I thought I'd check out the latest weekly fishing report in Noosa https://www.fishingnoosa.com.au/april0420.htm for a bit of a fishing fix. I sort of do this quite a bit because if I could live anywhere other than Melbourne it would be in Noosa. Then I thought I would check fishing reports around the country. Here is what the rest of the country was doing last week, fishing wise:
Narooma (Check out the 92 cm 9.7 kg tailor)
Fishraider forum report https://www.fishraider.com.au/topic/909 ... n-evening/
Gold Coast Tweed River
http://wp.fishingmonthly.com.au/2020/04 ... ed-report/
Hobart (sea trout?)
https://www.spotonfishinghobart.com.au/ ... april-2020
Perth (check out the snapper surface feeding vid)

SA

BTW
Heres PIRSA advice on fishing in SA

Why can't we go fishing again? Yes, I know it will save lives. Yes, I know some can't obey the rules. Yes, I know we Victorians must be strictly monitored. We can't be trusted to do the right thing. The rest of the country can but it seems not us.
And as Daniel Andrews has said about golf "playing golf if not worth someone's life" and going fishing is not worth someone's life. So for the sake of my elderly parents with underlying health issues and my asthmatic son I'll dutifully wait what May 11 and beyond brings... in the meantime I'll live vicariously through the fishing exploits of the rest of the country. Because they can go fishing.
Why is it that I cant go fishing in Victoria again? Rhetorical question. We all know the answer.

Jesus Christ! A 97 cm Tailor! I caught a few about 40 cm last Easter inside Lakes Entrance and I was quite pleased with myself.

Some awesome reports there!
I forgot what a bite feels like it’s been so long!
Was going to comment on that tailor as well. What a stonker!

I tell you, Victorian fisherman must be the hardest working because it just seems so much easier to catch decent fish the further North or West that you travel. Must be the warmer water. If I caught anything that was 92 cm I’d expect a ticker tape parade and maybe even a peck on the cheek from the Mrs.

If, I clearly said if I catch a 92 cm fish. Shouldn’t be an issue anytime soon.
