Fishing cart set up DIY
Recently bought a beach cart from Anaconda for $99, but on it's own just didnt seem to fully cater for my needs so had to do some backyard tinkering. Did a trip back to Anaconda and got couple Berkleys rod holder's for under $20 each aswell as a Baitboard for under $30. Boom another $70 gone. Spent another $50 at Bunnings for stainless steel nuts n bolts, stainless steel rivets , 40mm pvc pipes and couple 500mm extendable squeegee ( needed the extendable pole). At this point I'm thinking geezus, all up it's costing me $220 bux, parts cost more than the cart itself lol. I used left over materials from my uncle's workshop factory such as 5mm Aluminium plating and a piece of 45 degree angle piece aluminium cornering. As always was too lazy to draw up blue print so just constructed it as I go from my head. End result was better than I thought and the only thing I wasn't happy with was the extendable pole I used from the squeegee to mount my bait board because it looked flimsy and most likely snap at the pivoting head where you adjust it's angle. Might remove in the future and throw on a heavy duty spring loaded bracket n hinge. I'm all open for ideas and improvements so anyone's thoughts are welcome. Thanks

Looks awesome! Must have been a fun project. Only thing I can think of adding is a measuring sticker.

Bait board has a built in measuring tape, but I was going to add a measuring sticker on that plate with all the pvcIrishfisherman wrote: ↑Sat Jan 16, 2021 4:52 pmLooks awesome! Must have been a fun project. Only thing I can think of adding is a measuring sticker.

That looks really good! Very creative I must say. Sounds like you had fun making it too.

To be honest I don't know, they're from Anaconda and it's supposed to be for sand too I think. It's pretty wide so I don't think it will sink into the sand. Might drag it onto the sand next time I'm out and see how it rolls. I saw some nice fat pneumatic wheels that I could upgrade into once these thin plastic wheels fail. I've also ordered some lights online that I'll prob add to the cart later on, it's actualy alot of fun rigging up a simple fishing cart, soo many ideas and so little places to put them lol.
