It’s currently got a 113kg outboard on it. With a 25l tank and a battery up the back. Big sessions over also had another 20l Jerry up the back.

I’m looking at putting a 170 odd kg outboard on. Fuel to go central and forward of the boat. Batteries in the centre console. Kill tank behind console.

I don’t think it will sit too bum heavy but I’ll have the option of moving batteries. Putting anchor winch on etc to level it out if needed.

New console is already ordered.
I think the Yamaha F90 is right about 170kg.

I will be looking to replace my old Mariner 75 with a four stroke. I have been looking at the Yamaha F70, which is only about 115kg.. lighter than the engine i currently have, which with a 80lt underflood tank i think is too heavy for my boat.. it seems to sit very low at the stern. It wont give me anything like the speeds you are talking about tho.. it currently hits about 50kmh and cruises nicely at about 35.

I look forward to seeing the progress tho, i love your boat.
The only thing better than serenity is a two stroke at full throttle!

Cheers stevo. I can get about 51kmh out of mine whilst wringing it’s neck. But cruise speed is around 41kmh. I’d love for that cruise speed to be mid 60’s. Besides I can’t wait to overtake bigger boats lol. Something about blurting past an 8m boat on the way back from the RIP that makes me giggle.

I’ll take a pic for you later today cobby. Should have the console out later and I’ll drop the old seat in for a tiller pic. But tillers are painful for long runs.

Got a few mates that have done it who I’m using as a sounding board. Wealth of experience.

Should come up a treat when it's finished.

What material are you building the console out of? Will you go glass or Ally?

Just some advice if i may.. If going a bigger engine and bigger fuel tank, put a lot of thought into where to position the tank, especially being a smaller boat. You don't want it to be sitting too bum heavy.

Cheers, Anth

Sweet. It should work out good. You obviously are going to have a leccy up the front as well plus the casting deck.

That console looks good too. Is that seat going to lift for storage or esky?

Some spank bank for ya cobby before the seat comes out forever.

Jesus taking steering wheels off ain’t fun.

Yeah sens it’s always had a leccy on the front. Might upgrade it but probably not to begin with.

It's probably because you're taking them sideways with you phone. either take them with the phone upright or spin them on the phone before you upload
