fishing the top end of aus
headed up to the nt for the annual april fishing trip with my normal fishing mates.we leave Victoria with the boats and belt up to the gulf in the nt.
this trip we had two boats and 4 blokes.we left Victoria on a Thursday afternoon and we arrived at the gulf on sunday lunchtime
we travel down the river and head about 160kms out to a island and fish for abt 15 days.we live on rations of tinned vegies and the fish we catch.its not a trip for the faint hearted and lots of stuff goes wrong....injuries,mechanical problems.,moonsoons.extreme heat ,navigation issues but your rewarded with awesome fishing in creeks and reefs that very few people ever get to fish.
this trip we caught barra, gts, queenies, spanish mackerel, fingermark, nanaguy, red emperor, tuna, sweet lips, mangrove jack, sharks, gummies and many more species
we caught roughly 700 fish this trip and most were released.
here is a few pics
cheers bm

Superb, you make the effort and you get the reward, well done (slight tinge of envy)
There is no such thing as a stupid question, only a stupid answer.
