incredible squiding this evening at Bicheno, Tasmania.
Squid up to 2.5 kg. Sorry haven't figured out how to post images from phone.
Martin and Ruta Outdoor Writers: Subsistence living, fishing, hunting, wild plant gathering, mushrooming, living off the grid.

If the wings extend from the rear of the hood, (the pointy end), right to the head, then they're cala. Thats a great catch for the first time squiding! They are definitely southern calamari.
