Cheers but it needs to be pedal powered. I tried a small yak and it's just too hard to fish the locals in a current. More paddling than casting. If vic regs allowed it I'd stick a leccy in but that's a no go.cobby wrote:Sloth, there's also the inflatables that fit in the boot. Super stable, just storage isn't as good as plastic and they're slightly slower

Re: New Year fishing resolutions!
They have pedals. I9s (which I have and fits in the boot of an 05 liberty) i12s which is better for the bay and the i14t tandem Hobies.
As far as punctures go I've been squidding out deep of Flinders, Perching in amongst mangroves. Snapper out wide in ppb in some shocking conditions. Breaming in the creeks and Bassing in the rivers where it gets hammered dragged over rocks etc. And yet to get a puncture.

Even then they're pretty easy to put on the roof if you give it a go and have an assist bar. I have mine on the roof and reckon it's easier then the revo 11 I had.ducky wrote:sloth wrote:
Don't think this is going to happen. Had a loan kayak for six months which I've used once. For how I fish I realised I need a pedal yak - and that means box trailers and a few thou to do it properly - it's also not family friendly so thinking a boat is a better option (but that's a long time off too!)
Only need a trailer if you are buying a proangler. Everyone I know with revo's outbacks and natives out them on roof racks.

Not really Jim...will probably just use bigger lures/plastics at a few different spots, put in the hours and hope I get lucky 8-)Rod Bender wrote: Your goal of a 40 cm+ redfin...do you have any tactics for the bigger models or just hope for the best?

Re: New Year fishing resolutions!
Sweet setup cobby. Thanks for posting up. Must admit I've been researching the i9s a bit the last couple of days. It does seem to tick a lot of boxes (apart from price haha). How have you mounted your transducer? Suction cup?cobby wrote:

I actually looked at float tubes/cataracts/kick boats too - just for kicking around the metro rivers and docks.
Hard to know what to do really. Needs more research

It's bolted onto the bottom of the rudder. Steering is slightly harder but the sounder readings are spot on
