The colour that works best is constantly changing in ppb i find red foils to be the most consistent and like bowl said get a variety.

Re: Question relating to squid jigs
A question for the people who go squidding a lot: People seem to collect huge numbers of different brands, colours and sizes, but if you had to pick four or five squid jigs what would they be?

(couldn't find any pictures of mojiko squid jigs)
I'm sure it is beneficial to have 20 or more to choose from and change between during a session, but I can see people being in situations where having that many is impractical (i.e. on a kayak) or impossible due to the cost.

Re: Question relating to squid jigs
Mojiko is the anaconda home brand, if ur looking online the most common jig similar to it is the shimano sephia 14t. Great jig, a lot of people's "go to" jig. I personally don't buy expensive jigs as you lose too many of them to snags, especially when learning. I seem to have plenty of success on the cheapies. I'm not saying they are as good as the expensive ones, but they definitely still work. As above, the key to success is to have a variety. As a starter I would suggest the following;
1: white jig
2: red foil
3: gold foil
4: natural colour jig
5: Fluro colour jig
You should have most bases covered with that

Re: Question relating to squid jigs
Mojiko are best tight arse jig I have found, they don't fall apart easy, interesting range of colours.
3$,
Black magic r ok in packs if you get them on sale.
But they tend fall apart to easy for what ya pay.
I have tryed rogue n other cheap brands from.Bcf n rays n they r terrible.
Definently by some of the better brands, but wait till there r on sale.
