Stoney creek
Stoney creek
ventured to stoney creek res. yesterday on the fly with a mate from work - what a day - spent 4-5 hrs blind fishing- couple of very small bows only, moved multiple times to get out of the wind , finally pulled a nice brown  ( 38cm ) on a olive woolly bugger - what a fight :water: next fish caught was a monster bow (48cm) pulling and fighting very hard again on woolly bugger - great results for a hard slog

Re: Stoney creek
No boats.
Fish from the shore only (no wading).
No cleaning of fish on site.
No berleying, ground baiting, or digging for bait.
Don't litter. Please use the bins provided or take your rubbish home.
Recreational fishing licence required. Fisheries officers regularly check our reservoirs for illegal fishing.
Amazing how many fly fishers totally disregard the rules and jeopardise these locations for everyone else who does the right thing.

1 I wear waders out of habit and occasionally enter the water to retrieve snagged flies / untangle terrible casting
2. all my fish are returned quickly and safely after a photo
3.only use fly ( no need for bait etc)
4. carry backpack with adequate storage for rubbish
5. have held a fishing licence for over 20yrs ALWAYS VALID
FINALLY -hope you and your boyfriend keep spreading the love of fishing :a_goodjob: :fish22: :water:
