Bermagui report.
We left on 26 Feb about 6 and had a good run up there about 330 ish.
Unpacked and got the gear ready.
1st day we went out of Bermagui (2mt swell and 13knota) to get our sea legs ( oh boy did i need too, threw up a few times and slept for a hour while guys fished)
and staying local and got a few flathead. Next day with reports of king fish up at the island we decided to try up there due to weather report still about the same as day before.
No kingfish but got a feed. Next day weather was bit better so we headed out wide.head lots of captures On The radio
From 12mile heading north.
Pulled lures till we found live bait.
Put some lives out but no hits after 2 hours.
Tried for more lives and found some dolphin fish lol
They were every where.
the guys were getting them on bait on there bottom bashing rods.
Was fun
Kept 3. 4 went back just under size.
After about 2pm we headed in and tried for salmon O. Way back . And picked up a few on lures. Next day the Weather forecast was crap so we his behind the island and got a feed and caught a rat king that was returned. With not much from island we thought we suffer the weather and hit 15knot and 2mt swell for some salmon
And boy did we get a snocker at 7kg and a 58cm flathead. Last day and they guys chose the island.
Found a feed of fish nice Moe, pinkies, travelly and 2 bonito to my surprise. Next day left 4am to head back. Not run back till we hit the fire zone then slowed down.

Re: Bermagui report.
What a great time you guys would have had smiley, I am absolutely jealous , , , , well, maybe not the throwing up part, but hey, I'm pretty good at the sleeping part.
The best mixed bag of fish I have seen, well done. Those Flathead made an appearance every day, and I'm sure the way they taste, there would have been no complaints either.
I've never eaten Dolphin fish. What are they like?
Great report and glad you guys did well.
Cheers, Bugatti
