Just a quick flick after work during slack tide at the Nong around Footscray. Water was clear enough after the heavy rain we had few days ago.
1-3 rod, 2000 reel, 6lb braid, 4lb fluorocarbon leader.
A mate armed with crank crab, and I had strike tiger 2 in grub in black with 1/16 jig head.
I blame the full moon, never good for me. Fished 8pm-9:30pm and not a single bream. Luckily there were some small eager EPs. They were chasing the plastic but no hookups. Changed to sx40 and two EPs in two hits. They're around 15cm. Must be the ones stocked by the fisheries couple of years ago or so.
Note, the running out current was quite strong last night, must be coz of the full moon too. Made it trickier to fish with light plastic last night.

Re: Nong Dec 22 after work
I find the full moon unlucky as well Sebb, although usually only on the day of the absolute full moon. Well done on catching some fish regardless.
