Re: What to do being House Bound
I've been catching my goldfish out of the garden pond, no hooks ofcoarse. Just getting a fix, using old fasion tree branch and bit of 4 LB" line tied to the end. Using garden worms as bait tied to the other end. The buzz last for bout 10 mins but it's a buzz. Can't wait for the ban to lift, I'm runn...

Re: A message to Dan Andrews.
It's been a while since I've posted anything but I do frequent this forum since there's not much else to do with spare time. I understand it's hard for us hardcore fisherman's to go cold turkey but like another member said before, find every strength in ourselves to sit it out. The longer we remove ...

Re: Newport Warmies
The mackerel has been in the freezer for so long it was kinda soft and mushy so I added the salt to toughen it up. Works great, otherwise it woulda just fallen off when we cast. I've done this before with chicken fillets and old pilchard too and it works wonders.

Newport Warmies
Here's my first report in a while, spent a few hrs Friday night at the warmies with the family. First cast and it was pretty much on with a fish every cast, we ended up holding just one rod each and just having a lot of fun on light gear. After 3 hrs we pulled the pin as it got freezing cold but man...

Good effort mate, looks like you guys had fun. Pikes are great bait, I caught some ripper flatties on them before. Thanks for sharing, cheers How do you use it as bait? Fillet? Cutlet chop on circle hook? First time I'll be using pike for bait. Usually I release them. When I caught the flatheads it...

Land base from the pass
G'day everyone, lately it's been pretty quiet in this forum apart from the usual covid discussions so I thought I'll make a thread where we can all share some Landbase fishing success from the pass just to kill time and bring back some interest to this forum. I'll start by posting some catches and t...

Re: Land base from the pass
I think ludericks are darker in colour and grows alot bigger than zebra fish. They look almost identical but the zebras have less stripes and has more of a white pale stripes than a ludericks. But I do believe that those in my photo are ludericks and not zebras. I could be wrong but I'm sure others ...
