Re: GPS Waypoints
Look at it this way, I have spent at least 6 or more hours, putting the GPS marks into some software that goes onto a SD card, which then gets inserted into a Humminbird GPS sounder.
I am merely providing the opportunity for anyone to buy a SD card preloaded with GPS waypoints. It makes it much easier, but if you want to spend that time doing it yourself, that is fine.
Now I am also doing it for a Garmin and then maybe for Lowarance.

Re: GPS Waypoints
Let me, see the hourly rate for gardening is about $60 per hour, 8 hours times $60 equals $420, plus card. Thats is for Port Phillip Gps only, Western port is extra. :water:bowl wrote:No i just think mods should not be selling, g.p.s marks

Don't care one way or the other if blokes are selling GPS marks. However I will comment that GPS marks aren't worth a pinch of **** if they don't come with an explanation or summary.
The other thing about GPS marks is that once they become published you get more people going to them. Which defeats the whole purpose in my opinion.
You subtracting an hour for lunch there wooly?

Re: GPS Waypoints
You could use a program called GPSU to convert them.
There's nothing . . . absolutely nothing . . . half so much worth doing as simply messing around in boats.

Worked through lunch and dinner, wanted to get it out of the bloody way.
It's amazing that the reactions that this has created.
Firstly putting in waypoints is extremely time consuming, so I thought that some people might like to have a SD card preloaded with way points to make the life easier.
The published way points are just to get people started, as you spend more time fishing, you will create your own personal way points.

Re: GPS Waypoints
I might be interested in some WPB marks. What sort of fee did you have in mind? For a Humminbird 385ci.

I agree with ducky, just do the right thing and stick a few up in the Premium members section, waypoints are not worth a penny, it's ok if someone wants a few as a starting point but I personally wouldn't want one as it takes the fun out of finding your own, seems to me that you have too much time on your hands and if you chose to put all that effort into it then your main aim was to make a profit from the beginning, so get rid of this topic and keep your waypoints to yourself :notworthy:
