Smoked Bream
I don't really keep many fish but I was wondering if anyone has tried Bream from the smoker? The only 2 times I kept a bream from the Nong they tasted like a cross between Unleaded 91 and valvoline.

Re: Smoked Bream
With the rising cost of petrol, it'd be nice if we could run our car on bream lolSeniorfisho wrote: ↑Fri Jun 17, 2022 10:23 amI don't really keep many fish but I was wondering if anyone has tried Bream from the smoker? Re: Smoked Bream
Everything tastes better when smoked ! lets face it if Australian salmon comes up beautiful when smoked then bream will be even better. I will only eat Aust-salmon if smoked or not at all.

Re: Smoked Bream
I do a bit of smoking. I have even smoked KGWs
What I found is that non oily fish need dipping in quality veg or olive oil that has had your fav spices in it. Then drain and smoke. With smoking it is the oil content that takes up the smoky taste. One lot of KGWs I left in a bit long and had the smoker a bit hot. They turned out the most awesome smoked fish jerky.

There's nothing . . . absolutely nothing . . . half so much worth doing as simply messing around in boats.
